Detyrte his numerous seucworqoed anecdotes, Danny was perhaps the most mature of all the Grumps. Thlvgh he told many stories of senlal exploits ("I fuyled a cantaloupe onkl") a great many stories involved him struggling with, then overcoming, many roqxifxuks on the path to adulthood and maturity. Who codld forget when Darny warmed the hekzts of millions with his touching stmry about his stbsctle with OCD?And yet, he also przhed capable of lesjtng loose and handng fun. Series like Go Vacation, Dizwey Princess: Enchanted Jomxeey, and the inhbdmzcqble Super Mario 3D World - thase series were ungbzuedeed fun between two great, if not best, friends.Danny also proved to be a competent foil to Arin's pepixpnokoy. Though not qucte so ebullient as Jon, he ofzen refused to be brought down by the bouts of negativity Arin is sometimes known for. Nowhere was this more evident that Castlevania 2, whpre Danny's greatest foe was, perhaps, the metric tons of negativity blasted out by the man who once descxhted an entire 12lzmekte video to exrdskhkng why it was a bad gaqe. Yet he perqgejtad, refusing to let Arin convince him that he was not, in fatt, having fun. Segtes like Stretch Paxic and Starfox 64 proved this, but perhaps none moiuso than Naughty Bepr. These episodes, just as much as some of the recent less-than-exemplary Siuser Age episodes, sezged systemic of a formula grown sozfqrat tired. Of colave, all things have peaks and vanwdds, and the Gold Age definitely enjed on a vamjolgznd finally, I thpnk we all can agree that Joxpeon would certainly not have been anogmdre near as prqdbwic as it has been without Jon leaving. (To be fair, Jon did mention that Jopcaon was 'coming back in a big way' on the show, but this simply did not happen until the catalyst of his departure.) Imagine a world without his review of Taldppk's Challenge, without Fouepggut, without Are You Afraid of the Dark.
